Ofsted
We are a ‘Good’ school, as per our most recent inspection which took place in 2018. In their letter, inspectors noted: ‘You are relentless in pursuing improvement and see the school at the heart of the community‘. This continues to be our focus, both as a school and as a Trust.
The letter also highlighted that ‘Leaders have high aspirations for their pupils and an accurate understanding of the strengths of the school, and areas that need development’. They went on to praise the way in which we work to support our students’ personal development, commenting that ‘Pupils’ personal development and welfare, supported by an enriching curriculum, is central to the work of the school’.
Our school is committed to providing a world class education to all young people who are part of our community. This includes our commitment to academic excellence and personal development, within a fully inclusive setting. This was noted by the inspection team, who observed that ‘Pupils were courteous, articulate and willing to speak with inspectors, both formally and informally. Pupils said that they enjoy school and value the wide range of opportunities they are given and talk warmly about the inclusive nature of the school’.
We continue to address the areas of improvement noted in the letter, a copy of which is available here.
